Tempting bad luck with the umbrella inside, shoes on the table and underneath ladders, on this birthday she no longer believes superstition.
Coming away from it with a pair of ex-costume chessboard knickerbockers and chocolates from the deluxe end of the confectionary aisle, to a night alone at home where the camera winks its eye and tries to catch something of how she starts being twenty seven.
