Book Review - Full Throttle - Images of Australian Speedway 1970 - 2009. The name Tony Loxley will be familiar to most Australian Speedway fans. His name rings of quality images and interesting Speedway reporting. In recent years he has authored a number of coffee table style books ...
Book Review - Mud and Dust. Australian Army Vehicles and Artillery in Vietnam. Close to 60,000 Australian military personnel served in Vietnam from the mid 1960s to 1972 and as with any military force of the time a variety of wheeled and tracked vehicles and weapons were employed. Most of these vehicles arrived by sea onboard the converted aircraft carrier HMAS Sydney ...
Book Review - Shockwave. An Australian Combat Helicopter Crew in Vietnam. In this book author Haran tells of the experiences of some of the pilots and crew that saw duty onboard Australia’s Bell UH-1s in Vietnam. These mainly involve pilot Norm Goodall and doorgunners Neville Sinkinson and John Scott.
Book Review - Sea Harrier Over The Falklands. Billed as " The controversial account of what really happened in the South Atlantic skies " it certainly lives up to that. The author pulls no punches in his opinion of those in command of Task Force 317 and many of their decisions during OPERATION CORPORATE.

Book Review - Superbase 4 Deci. NATO's European Air Combat Range. Decimomannu Airbase is on the island of Sardinia in the Mediterranean Sea and was established by NATO in 1960. By the time of this publication it had become Europe’s only fully instrumented Air Combat Manoeuvring Instrumentation (ACMI) range and one of the busiest airbases anywhere.
Book Review - Fast Ladies. Female Racing Drivers 1888 to 1970. Female Racing Drivers still attract a lot of media attention at the top level today with American Danica Patrick seemingly breaking new ground every year. There are of course now thousands of women taking part in various types of motor sport competition around the planet. That wasn’t always the case ...
Book Review - Mirage III, 5, 50 and Derivatives. Mirage fans get a real treat with this French volume that covers the years 1955 to 2000. The chapters cover most versions of the aircraft and its development from the ‘Delta Mystere’ MD550 predecessor through to the South African derivative the Atlas Cheetah.
Book Review - No Escape Zone. Lieutenant Nick Richardson was a Sea Harrier pilot with 801 NAS when his aircraft (Sea Harrier FRS.1 XZ 498) was hit by a Bosnian Serb SAM over Gorazde on April 16, 1994 whilst trying to bomb a pair of Serbian T-55 tanks that were shelling the town. His book covers the events leading up to his shoot down and his eventual escape from behind enemy lines.
Welcome to Scale Info, a section where you'll find information on plastic kits, books, decals and accessories as well as resources to help you enhance your models.

This site is not about build reports (although you will find some) but focuses on telling and showing what's in the package. Nor is it about the latest and (maybe) greatest kits. There's a mixture of the old and new just as you'd find at any hobby shop or online auction.

What you will find here is balanced reviews and information on kits, accessories, books and more.

Hopefully you will find information on that kit or product you've been thinking of getting or one that grabs your interest and you go on to track it down. At this point no products are sold from these pages.

Regarding prices it is the policy not to have them in reviews as there is such a wide variation from one source to another in today's market that they are quickly out of date.
