In a disappointing end to an action packed night, the 5th round of the 2007/08 series saw no Main event run for the Supers due to generator failure at Gunnedah. There would have been no drivers more disappointed than Darrell McKeown and Wayne Dick who where to share the front row as equal top qualifiers.
Entries
Series leader Onley, Barklimore and previous round winner Ward were not present for this round. Luke Pyne made a return to Supers in the #N55 Jeff Brown owned Pontiac. Brown also fronted in his #N6 Monaro. Ron Pyne returned to competition after his disappointing outing at Goulburn.

6 x 8 lap Heats were run:

Feature
With the Junior Sedans forming up on the track for their Feature one of the worst things that could happen at a night Speedway meeting did. The place was thrown into darkness when Gunnedah's power generator called it quits.
Despite the best effort of track workers and promoter, Barry Towers, the errant machine would not fire up and the meeting had to be abandoned.
The Point score was adjusted with just the Heat points, leaving Onley at the top and Hickey moving into 2nd.
The Series now moves to Parramatta for the 6th round on February 16th.
