A view of the tree in the back yard of the holiday house where I spent my summer holidays.
I was taken by the patterns formed by the roots on the leaf-strewn grass.
The negative was given N+1 development to further lift the values of the trunk and roots. Some burning-in has been employed on the sides and bottom of the image at the printing stage to accentuate the contrast between the light-toned trunk and roots and the dark-toned grass and leaves.
