Remarks
This image was made on a tramping trip in late November 1990 -
the same trip as my "Lake McKenzie and Emily Peak" photograph.
The falls are just a minute's walk from the Routeburn Falls hut operated
by the Fiordland National Park Board. It was early evening when I decided to
go and see if the falls had any photographic potential. The light was
fading rapidly by the time I found a pleasing composition, making the effort
of carrying a tripod for two days suddenly seem worthwhile.
