Remarks
It sounds like something out of Peter Pan, and almost could be. This attractive creek is
located in Northern New South Wales near the tranquil town of
Bellingen.
The bulk of the creek bed was gravel, but this slab of rock caught my eye
(while assorted midges and mosquitos caught my blood).
This is not a straight interpretation of the scene, I have burned down the
water and bush at bottom and top (respectively) of the image in the printing
process to emphasise the abstract nature of the patterns in the rock.
See this page for a more detailed discussion of how this image makes the transition from negative to final print.
