Remarks
Hunts Creek was dammed in 1855-56 to provide water for the rapidly growing centre of Parramatta. You can see an image of the dam wall here.
This image was made just downstream of the dam. The dam was spilling water following a period of heavy rain. Consequently Hunts Creek was in flood and flowing very fast.
The water flowing over these rocks caught my attention and this image was made fairly quickly - largely on account of there not being many places on the riverbank where a tripod could be set.
